The Women of
Awaq Ñustas

We are Indigenous artisan women from the Q’ero Nation and the communities surrounding Ausangate, carrying forward the ancestral knowledge of weaving, natural dyes, and Andean spirituality. Every creation reflects our connection with Pachamama, our mountains, and the wisdom of our ancestors.

Meet the women behind the threads

Cirila Suclli

I was born and raised in the Q'eros community of Quico Grande, where I continue to preserve the ancestral art of weaving and pass this knowledge on to my children and future generations. As a Ñusta Paqo and traditional healer, I share the spiritual wisdom of my ancestors with devotion and respect. Through Awaq Ñustas, I support my family while helping keep our culture alive, always guided by the Andean principle of ayni—living in harmony, reciprocity, and balance with all life.

Eulogia Phasci

Growing up in the Q'eros community of Quico, I learned the ancestral art of weaving from the women of my community. Every textile I create reflects my deep connection with Pachamama, nature, and our traditions. As a member of Awaq Ñustas, I am proud to preserve our cultural heritage while supporting my education and building a future rooted in the wisdom and identity of my people.

Flor de María Apaza

Growing up in the Q'eros community of Quico Grande, I inherited the ancestral wisdom of my family through weaving, spirituality, and our Andean traditions. Since childhood, I have felt a deep connection with the Apus and the sacred teachings of my ancestors, which continue to guide my path. As a member of Awaq Ñustas, I am honored to preserve our cultural heritage, share the living wisdom of the Andes, and support my future while carrying our traditions forward with love and respect.

Juliana Quenaya

At the foot of the sacred Apu Ausangate, I learned the ancestral art of knitting with alpaca fiber, carrying forward the traditions of my family and community. Every piece I create reflects my connection with nature, the Andes, and the wisdom of my ancestors. As a member of Awaq Ñustas, I am proud to support my family while preserving and sharing our cultural heritage with love, dignity, and respect.

Marisol Apaza Suclli

From an early age, life taught me resilience and the importance of caring for my family and community. Today, I am proud to be part of Awaq Ñustas and the Wayra Q'eros Foundation, where I preserve our ancestral textile traditions and share the spiritual wisdom of the Andes as a Ñusta Paqo. Guided by the Andean principle of ayni (reciprocity), I have had the honor of representing our culture internationally, inspiring others to reconnect with Pachamama while helping build a stronger future for my people and the generations to come.

Mercedez Huamán Quispe

As an Andean artisan, mother, and Ñusta Paqo, I have found strength in my family, my community, and the sacred presence of Apu Ausangate. Through weaving and the spiritual teachings of my ancestors, I express my prayers, my connection with Pachamama, and the living wisdom of the Andes. As a proud member of Awaq Ñustas, I am dedicated to preserving our cultural heritage, supporting my family, and sharing the beauty and spirit of our traditions with the world.

Nadia Elsa Ccorimanya Contreras

Inspired by the ancestral weaving traditions of my family and community at the foot of Apu Ausangate, I create textiles that celebrate the beauty, identity, and living wisdom of the Andes. As a mother and proud member of Awaq Ñustas, I am committed to preserving our cultural heritage, empowering Indigenous women, and passing our traditions on to future generations through every piece I weave.

Paulina Gerillo Chura

As a lifelong guardian of the Q'eros spiritual tradition, I have dedicated my life to preserving the wisdom of our ancestors and sharing it with future generations. As a medicine woman and proud member of Awaq Ñustas, I weave not only textiles but also the stories, prayers, and traditions that connect us to the Apus, Pachamama, and our cultural heritage. My greatest hope is to see our legacy continue to inspire the world and empower the generations to come.

Rosa Victoria Arauja Anaya

Inspired by the ancestral wisdom of the Andes, I create handcrafted jewelry that reflects the beauty, spirituality, and symbols of the Inca tradition. Working with silver and natural stones, each piece I make is an expression of harmony, protection, and cultural identity. As a proud member of Awaq Ñustas, I am honored to preserve our heritage while sharing the living spirit of the Andes with the world.

Viviana Apaza Apaza

Since the age of six, I have expressed my connection to the Q'ero tradition through the art of weaving. Inspired by the sacred mountains, Pachamama, and the wisdom of my ancestors, every creation reflects my cultural identity and love for the Andes. As a member of Awaq Ñustas, I am proud to preserve our heritage while supporting my education and sharing our traditions with future generations and the world.

Handmade with Love,
Tradition, and Spirit

Each piece is more than a product—it is a story, a legacy, and a living expression of the Andean worldview.
